The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i has a sophisticated design as it sports an aluminium finish which not only gives it a sleek and premium feel to it, it also enhances its durability. On the cover of the laptop is its signature Legion logo which also features RGB lighting and will glow when the laptop is turned on. Furthermore, there is a slight protrusion on the front edge of the cover, which makes opening the laptop smoother and effortless.

Upon opening the laptop, users will be greeted by the sight of the Legion O-shaped power button that will light up when powering on. The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i comes equipped with a stunning 16-inch screen which is nicely paired with a WQXGA OLED display, delivering incredible clarity and vibrant visuals to the screen. The laptop offers a 16:10 aspect ratio, providing more vertical screen space, which is perfect for gaming as well as reading.

In order to measure the laptop’s performance in handling everyday workloads, I used the Geekbench 6 benchmark test in order to gather the results. After the test was done, the results showed that the Legion Pro 7i scored a score of 3031 points in Single-core score mode and 19483 points in Multi-core mode. Meaning that it will be able to handle demanding workloads with ease.

In addition to the benchmark tests, I also decided to test how well the Legion Pro 7i would be able to fare while playing games. The two games that I selected for the test were Black Myth: Wukong and Elden Ring.

Black Myth: Wukong

When playing Black Myth: Wukong, the Legion Pro 7i is able to run the game perfectly with no issues such as lag whatsoever. In fact, the game is able to run seamlessly and smoothly even when the game is set to maximum Super Resolution as well as Full Ray Tracing on to Very High. In fact, the game was able to run around 90 FPS when playing the game, which is impressive.

Elden Ring

Meanwhile in Elden Ring, the game was able to consistently run at 60 FPS while playing it, and this is even when the game’s display and graphic settings were set to the highest, and it also includes Ray Tracing as well. When playing around the game, the movement felt incredibly smooth and the visuals and surroundings in the game were really high-quality.

Legion Space

Built into the laptop is the new Legion Space, a hub that is capable of customising and fine-tuning the performance profiles of the laptop, managing the RGB lighting as well as keeping track of the FPS in real-time. With this, users will be able to overcome issues such as lag and overheating while also enjoying a smoother gaming experience.

Additionally, via Legion Space, users will be able to switch between different performance speeds for the laptop by selecting through the four modes provided, the Performance, Balance, Quiet and Custom. Though, when it is time to recharge, the laptop will be able to reach full power in rapid speed with a 400W charging equipped with Super Rapid Charge technology. In fact, the laptop is able to reach around 70% in just minutes while a full charge would take around 80 minutes, allowing users to return back to their gaming sessions in an instant.
