A Texas Chainsaw Massacre game is in the works as the creators of Friday the 13th Gun Interactive is teaming up with Sumo Nottingham for development. According to the developers, it will be an asymmetrical multiplayer horror game. With that said, we expect to see the survivors versus murderer format in games like Dead by Daylight and Friday the 13th.
In asymmetrical horror games, a player will take over the role of the killer while the rest of the players must escape alive as survivors. Gun Interactive previously developed a similar game based on Friday the 13th, however, had halted further content development due to rights issues.
