Renowned personal computer brand GIGABYTE has just received 2020 Red Dot Design Awards for 4 of their laptops, namely the creator-focused AERO 15 OLED and AERO 17, and the AORUS 15G and AORUS 17X, which are targeted towards gamers.
New AORUS Flagships
Alongside famed esports team G2 Esports, GIGABYTE launched the AORUS 17X, AORUS 17G, and AORUS 15G, which are high-end models tailored for professional gaming.
Featured are three overclocking-ready 10th Gen Intel processors - the Intel Core i9-10980-HK, Intel Core i9-10875-H, and Intel Core i7-10750-H. As for graphics, the RTX 2080 Super and RTX 2070 Super have been thrown into the mix to elevate gaming performance to a whole new level.
The three aforementioned models are touted as the industry's lightest notebooks with a mechanical keyboard. On top of OMRON switches, these notebooks also feature speedy 240Hz displays and WINDFORCE Infinity cooling technology to allow unfettered performance.
Upgraded AERO Series
The GIGABYTE AERO Series is tailored for content creation, and has bagged multiple awards such as the 2019 European Hardware Association Notebook of the Year, the Taiwan Excellence Award, and the aforementioned Red Dot Design Award 2020.
Major upgrades to the AERO Series include 4K support and HDR400 for its displays as well as Delta E < 1 colour accuracy, which surpasses the typical industry standard of Delta E < 2. Improvements have also been made to the WINDFORCE Infinity cooling system to facilitate better thermals during heavy workloads.
Every 2020 AERO also comes with NVIDIA Studio drivers out of the box, which optimises over 40 commonly-used editing software packages for improved efficiency. A vast array of ports, including Thunderbolt 3, HDMI 2.0, and a UHS-II SD card reader make AERO devices extremely versatile and suitable for working on the go, while the choice of having a 144Hz screen will please both gamers and content creators alike.
The AORUS flagship gaming series ranges from RM8,999 to RM17,999, while the AERO series ranges from RM7,499 to RM11,999. Pre-orders are available now, with official sales starting on 15 April.
On top of that, entry-level gaming models AORUS 5 and AORUS 7 are expected to arrive later this month, with prices starting from RM5,999.
