Gigabyte Announces Two Radeon RX 6900 XT Cards

Gigabyte has announced two Radeon RX 6900 XT graphic cards. They are the AORUS Radeon RX 6900 XT MASTER 16G and the Radeon RX 6900 XT GAMING OC 16G.

The AORUS Radeon RX 6900 XT MASTER 16G features LCD edge view, and RGB Fusion 2.0. For heat management, it has MAX-Covered cooling with three unique blade fans, a heat-sink with a larger heat dissipation area than its previous generation predecessor, a larger copper plate, and seven composite heat-pipes. It also has extended heat-sink fins and GIGABYTE’s screen cooling technology.

The side of the graphics card has an LCD monitor with enthusiastic, text, image, and GIF mode. “With GIGABYTE software, gamers can display all kinds of content, or set the monitor to CHIBI Time mode to enjoy the changes of the little falcon logo every hour,” said GIGABYTE in a press release. Other features include aerospace-grade PCB coating, Dual BIOS with a quiet operation mode, and components with Ultra Durable certification.

Meanwhile, the RM5,699 Radeon RX 6900 XT GAMING OC 16G features RGB Fusion 2.0 and a WINDFORCE cooling system. The cooling system offers three unique blade fans with graphene nano lubricant, which GIGABYTE says can extend fan life by 2.1 times. The cooling system also includes alternate spinning, a large copper plate with direct contact with the GPU, composite copper heat pipes, and 3D active fans.

Other features of the graphics card include components with Ultra Durable certification, multi-phase power supply, and a metal back plate for preventing bending and damage, in addition to strengthening its structure. The core clock speed of the card is 2050MHz (versus the reference card's 2015MHz) while the boost clock speed can go up yo 2285MHz (versus the reference card's 2250MHz). A four-year warranty is provided after registering online within 30 days of the purchase date.

The RX 6900 XT was first announced in October 2020 along with AMD's other RX 6000 series cards, all of which feature the RDNA 2 gaming architecture. The card launched in December 2020.
