[Games Around The Corner] Week 29, 2020: What to Look Out For in the Coming Week

Looking for a new game to sink your teeth into? Or perhaps you're looking to acquire another relic for your dusty Steam library? Let's take a look at upcoming releases next week on all platforms, and see if there are any games worth lining up for!

Rock of Ages 3 : Make & Break

What do you get when you cross tower defense, world building, and Monty Python-esque humour? Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break, of course. Developed by ACE Team and published by Modus Games, your main task in the game is to create your own hopefully indestructible world, and break your opponents. The game comes with a 4-player online multiplayer tower defense mode, as well as plenty of other modes such as Boulder Avalanche, Humpty-Dumpty, Time Trials, or even create your own! The title will be available on PC (Steam), PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. You can check out more information on their official website.

Creaks

2D-scrolling adventure/puzzle games might be something you expect to see in an old console back in the 2000's, but Amanita Design's Creaks is the indie game of the year. Combining a baroque-style artwork with mind-boggling puzzles, the game is both simple and difficult at the same time - simple in terms of controls (it's just 1 thumbstick and 2 buttons), while the puzzles can be very complex. The monsters, or Creaks as the title gives it away, are the villains of this story, and you play as a young boy who just discovered a vent in his bedroom. Juice your brain to find out how to bypass or trick the creaks, and you will find yourself at the end of your journey very soon. Creaks is out on 20 July (today!), and is available on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Dragon Marked For Death

The critically-acclaimed 2D side-scrolling PC RPG game comes to Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4. Dragon Marked for Death gives you a very indie Rockman feel, where you play as one of a few survivors of the Dragonblood Clan, set on a journey of revenge against the Kingdom of Medius. You can choose from six playable characters, and can team up in the online co-op multiplayer mode with 3 other players. The game is already out on PC, but will be released for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on 22 July. If you can't wait, you can always try out the PC version available on Steam.

These are the few games coming out next week that are worth the wait, at least, in my eyes. Too bad I still have a day job :(
