This week, the uniquely-titled NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139... arrives to deliver a modernised version of 2010’s NieR, while the Atelier Mysterious Trilogy from 2015 to 2017 return with DX versions. Meanwhile, MotoGP 21 shows up to offer some motorcycle racing.
Atelier Mysterious Trilogy Deluxe Pack
The Atelier Mysterious Trilogy Deluxe Pack will deliver the DX versions of 2015’s Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book, 2016’s Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey, and 2017’s Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings in one package. Regardless of whether you get the bundle or buy the games separately, there will be a special digital artbook, photo modes, and an option to speed up battles for each title. Additionally, the previously-released DLC for the games are included alongside other features like new cauldrons and sprinting for the first game and new vehicles for the third game.
Atelier Sophie follows the titular Sophie, a young alchemist who meets a sentient book called Plachta and ends up on a journey to help Plachta regain its memories. Meanwhile, Atelier Firis follows a girl called Firis who crosses paths with alchemy and leaves her town for the first time, with Sophie and Plachta meeting her as well. Finally, Atelier Lydie & Suelle sees twin sisters and novice alchemists Lydie and Suelle discovering a strange painting, with the incident allowing them to “get closer to turning their dream of running the best atelier in the kingdom into reality”, as per the game’s Steam page.
The Atelier Mysterious Trilogy Deluxe Pack will be released on April 22 on Steam, PS4, and Switch.
The next game in the MotoGP series, MotoGP 21 will feature over 120 official riders, over 20 tracks, and new features like the Long Lap Penalty. There’ll also be customisation and racing aspects to keep note of like Fuel level and Brakes temperature.
The game will let you join an official team or create a new one in single-player, with staff to pick, contracts to choose, development to carry out on your bike, and machine learning AI to race against. On the multiplayer front, there will be dedicated servers and a Race Director mode.
MotoGP 21 will be released on April 22 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Steam, and Switch.
NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139...
NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139... is an updated version of 2010’s NieR Replicant, the prequel to NieR: Automata. Aside from sprucing up the over-decade-old game, it’s also the first time that the West will get to experience Replicant, as it previously received a tweaked version called NieR Gestalt that turned the protagonist from a teenage brother to a middle-aged father. (However, producer Yosuke Saito told PCGamesN that there will be "something for fans of ‘Dad Nier’ too".)
While NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139... improves the visuals and hack-and-slash combat, the story remains the same. In the distant future, the titular Nier has to save his sister Yonah, who was struck by the Black Scrawl disease. He thus sets out on a journey with a talking magic tome called Grimoire Weiss to find the “Sealed verses”, encountering allies and monsters along the way, as well as uncovering secrets about the world. According to the Steam description, you’ll be able to customize Nier’s magic, skills, and weapons using “Words”.
NieR Replicant ver.1.22474487139... will be released on April 23 for Steam, PS4, and Xbox One.
