[Games Around the Corner] Week 10, 2021 – Build Asian Strongholds

This week, the Stronghold castle-building RTS series heads to Asia, with the Mongols, Japanese, and Chinese to be featured. Also, motor-bike racing and the arrival of Crash Bandicoot 4 on next-gen and Switch.

Stronghold: Warlords

The castle-building Stronghold RTS series returns with Stronghold: Warlords, which takes place in East Asia. Mongols, Japanese, and Chinese forces and strongholds are featured, and there will be warlords to battle and command.


The 31 campaign missions will cover 3rd century BC China, the Tokugawa shogunate’s rise, and the Mongol Empire’s arrival, with units like samurai and Mongolian horse archers being available in addition to equipment like siege weapons and gunpowder. Outside of the campaigns, there are multiplayer, skirmish, and free build modes. The game will be released on Steam on March 10.

Monster Energy Supercross: The Official Videogame 4

The fourth edition of the Monster Energy Supercross video games, Monster Energy Supercross: The Official Videogame 4 offers over 100 riders and over 100 official brands to choose from. There will be a new career mode featuring Future and Rookie categories, a track editor, a new compound, 450SX and 250SX rider categories, as well as 11 stadiums and 17 tracks. The game will be released on March 11 for Steam, PS4, PS5 Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.


Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time

While not a brand new game, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time will be playable on next-gen consoles and Switch for the first time this week. The platformer will follow Crash and his sister Coco as they go after escaped villains Neo Cortex and Dr. N. Tropy, who are seeking to conquer every dimension in existence. The latest title in the series features new Quantum Masks powers, and players will also be able to control other characters like Neo Cortex and Dingodile via alternate timeline paths. The game will be released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch on March 12.
