Final Fantasy XVI director denies rumors of PC version after 6 months of its release

Buy a PS5 now

Final Fantasy XVI will not be getting a PC release soon after 6 months after its release on PlayStation 5 as stated by the game's director Naoki Yoshida in the recent live stream for premium members-only stream by Japanese video service Nico Nico Douga. As a rough translation by Genki_JPN:

"Nobody said a word about a PC version releasing. Why is it like a PC version is releasing 6 months later? Don't worry about that, buy a PS5! (laughs) Sorry, I went overboard. We did our best so please look forward to it"

The rumors Yoshida seems to be addressing must be related to the Final Fantasy XVI reveal trailer published in 2020 via IGN YouTube channel, it shows at the footer where "also available on PC"

So far, Final Fantasy XVI has only been confirmed for PlayStation 5 on June 22, 2023. A PC version of the game could still be coming in shortly based on our opinion. In fact, the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade took a little more than 6 months after the PS5 release to finally launched on PC.
