To commemorate the birth of the original game, the game's anniversary is now recognized by the Japan Anniversary Association as Final Fantasy VII Day. Final Fantasy VII is first launched for PlayStation on January 31, 1997 in Japan, which is 26 years ago from today.
The director of Final Fantasy VII, Yoshinori Kitase has make a statement on Twitter, expressing his joy at this achievement.
