The Philippines’ Execration has emerged as the winners of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia, following a final match that saw the team battling against fellow Filipino team Blacklist International.
Blacklist International had previously beaten Execration 4-3 in the finals of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines Season 7 tournament and was a powerful force in MSC 2021. In the MSC 2021 finals, however, Execration succeeded in getting revenge for their previous defeat and bested Blacklist International with a 4-1 score.
“This is an amazing accomplishment for Execration, and I’m proud that our hard work has paid off,” said Execration coach Jomie “Pakbet” Abalos. “We’re proud to represent the Philippines on a regional level, and we will do our best for the upcoming season for future Mobile Legends tournaments as well.”
MSC 2021, which had TikTok as its official esports partner, involved a total prize pool of $150,000 (~RM617,325) and hit a new peak of 2,284,012 concurrent viewers, most of whom were from Indonesia and the Philippines. The tournament was broadcasted on YouTube, Facebook, and NimoTV.
