Ericsson, UTM, and DNB Collaborate to Educate Students on 5G

Ericsson, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), and Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) have announced a collaboration for an education initiative to educate Malaysian students on 5G and emerging technologies.

As part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the three parties, UTM students will gain access to the Ericsson Educate platform to learn subjects at an introductory level, including 5G networks, artificial intelligence, machine learning, automation, blockchain, cloud computing, data science, IoT, and telecommunications.

The content will be given access to participating students for free and will be integrated to

complement UTM’s online-based degrees and micro credentials programs. In addition to the existing content in the portal, Ericsson and DNB will also invite experts as guest lecturers on topics pre-selected by UTM. The collaboration is expected to reach up to 1200 students in the first year.
