Epic is continuing its current two-free-games-a-week trend by offering Horizon Turbo Chase and Sonic Mania for grabs this week.

2018’s Horizon Turbo Chase is a racing game that cites hits from the 80s and 90s like Out Run and Rush as its inspirations. It sports a polygonal and secondary colour-based look and a soundtrack by Top Gear (SNES) and Rush composer Barry Letich, and boasts 111 tracks, 48 cities, 33 unlockable cars, 12 Cups, and 12 upgrades. Up to four players can play in split-screen, while there’s a Ghost Mode and Leaderboards for online-related play.

Meanwhile, Sonic Mania is a 2017 2D retro side-scrolling platformer that advertises itself as the “ultimate celebration of past and future”. It sends Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles on a new adventure and promises fast-paced platforming, unique bosses, and pixel graphics with a 60 FPS framerate.

Horizon Turbo Chase’s EGS page is here, while Sonic Mania can be found here.
