Elgato has announced several new products, including Facecam, Wave XLR, a new Stream Deck, and Wave Mic Arm plus Wave Mic Arm LP.
Facecam offers an f/2.4 24-mm all-glass Elgato Prime Lens and a Sony Starvis CMOS sensor with back-illuminated pixel technology. It outputs at 1080p 60 FPS and has an up to 82° adjustable FOV, and can have its settings tweaked with the Camera Hub app. The webcam can be mounted via an expandable monitor clamp or a 1/4-inch thread and connects via a detachable USB Type-C cable.
Meanwhile, Wave XLR serves to connect an XLR microphone to a PC. It can control the microphone with its silent capacitive mute button and multi-functional control dial, and has Clipguard technology for dealing with sound distortion at peak input levels. Elgato also says that “up to 75 dB of ultra-low-noise gain amplifies insensitive mics”. Additionally, Wave XLR can provide drive condenser microphones with up to 48 volts of phantom power and can enable Elgato Wave Link app integration.
Both Facecam and Wave XLR support integration with the Stream Deck, which now has detachable components. The new Stream Deck’s faceplate can be removed and replaced with a new design, and its USB Type-C cable can be disconnected and swapped for another USB-C cable. Elsewhere, the Stream Deck has a new removable fixed-angle desktop stand and an updated Stream Deck 5.0 app and Store.
Finally, the Wave Mic Arm and Wave Mic Arm LP are a suspension boom arm and an all-metal low-profile boom arm respectively. The former has a height of 750 mm that can be increased by 150 mm with an included extension riser, while the latter sits below-shoulder-line. Both have hidden cable channels with removable covers, an adjustable clamp mount that is compatible with “popular desk designs”, and a ball head with a 1/4-inch screw and 3/8-inch to 5/8-inch adapters.
