ESA has confirmed that there will be no digital event for the E3 2022 showcase after previously canceling its in-person event, which means E3 2022 is canceled entirely.
Since the pandemic broke out, the event was canceled in 2020 and only a digital one was held last year. Entertainment Software Association (ESA) initially planned for an in-person event this year but it got canceled in January. It's believed that a digital event would be possible but it seems that ESA is planning for a larger comeback in 2023.
"Instead, we will devote all our energy and resources to delivering a revitalized physical and digital E3 experience next summer," ESA wrote in an official statement. "We look forward to presenting E3 to fans around the world live from Los Angeles in 2023."
