DOOM Eternal's update 6.66 has arrived today with a new arcade-style Horde Mode, a refined Battlemode 2.0, two new master levels, and more.
In the new arcade-style Horde Mode, players will start off with the battle with only a mastered Combat Shotgun and can unlock more guns as they defeat waves of enemies. Each horde mode is split across three missions, which are further divided into five rounds. Players who complete all the challenges can unlock more than 7 new skins, including the DOOM II Slayer and the Biker Slayer.
The 2-versus-1 Battlemode pits two players-controlled demons against one fully-kitted DOOM Slayer. In the new Battlemode, there's an all-new streak-based Ranking Syste, with rewards and matchmaking as well as leaderboards. Additionally, there's also a new Arena: Stronghold and a new playable demon, Dread Knight.
The two new master levels - World Spear and Mars Core - introduce a new combat experience, taking on remixed demon encounters.
DOOM Eternal update 6.66 is now available for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5.
