Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Hinokami Keppuutan Gameplay Footage Revealed

Around seven minutes of gameplay from the upcoming Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Hinokami Keppuutan were shown off at the recent Kimetsu Matsuri Online 2021.

The gameplay footage, which Gematsu recorded and published as a separate video, shows characters Tanjiro Kamado and Zenitsu Agatsuma, contolled by their respective voice actors Natsuki Hanae and Hiro Shimono, squaring off against each other in Versus Mode. The battle is a two versus two affair, with Inosuke Hashibira and Nezuko Kamado tag-teaming with Tanjiro and Zenitsu respectively. The gameplay is reminiscent of developer CyberConnect2's Ultimate Ninja Storm games, with the characters battling in a 3D arena.

It’s currently unknown how many playable characters there will be in the final release, but the selection screen in the footage displays Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, Nezuko, and Giyu Tomioka. Hopefully, there’ll be other Hashiras and some demons to choose from as well when the game launches.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - Hinokami Keppuutan is slated to release in Japan sometime in 2021 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. Aside from Versus Mode, there will also be a Solo Play Mode to reexperience the anime’s story.

Thanks, Gematsu.
