Due to the movement control order (MCO), more people than ever are staying connected through games. Facebook has taken this one step further by enabling friendly competition via Facebook Gaming Tournaments.
Anyone can start or join a tournament. You could be playing with friends, creators could be playing with their viewers, or it could even be a global esports competition.
Brackets and leaderboards are all handled virtually - all you have to do is head over to this page and click 'Start Tournament'. From there, you can select the start and end dates/times, as well as determine your format and add a description for your tournament.
Creators can host tournaments while streaming, and even support important causes using the new charity livestreaming tools.
This feature is still in early access, so you can expect it to be improved over time with feedback from the community. In the meantime, have fun and enjoy playing apart together!
