Borderlands 3 Director’s Cut Delayed to April Due to Texas Weather

The Director’s Cut update for Borderlands 3 has been delayed due to the severe cold weather that the state of Texas suffered last month.

In a statement posted on Twitter, Gearbox said that challenges posed by the weather caused development to be “unavoidably disrupted”. The update will now release on April 8 instead of March 18.

“Thankfully, all of our team members and their families are safe and healthy,” the post also said.

The Borderlands 3 Director’s Cut was first announced in February. An add-on for the game, it will introduce a new raid boss called Hemovorous the Invincible, new story missions involving Ava and “potentially supernatural slayings”, and behind-the-scenes content. There will also be Vault Cards, which are described as “challenge-based progression tracks” that unlock themed cosmetic and “supremely powerful gear that scales to your level”.
