Blizzard may have learned their mistakes when they faced heavy backlash for heavy microtransactions and gacha systems in Diablo Immortal. Since launch, the game has received only a mere 0.5 from over 1700 users on Metacritic.

With what's happened to Diablo Immortal, General Manager Rod Fergusson assured that the upcoming Diablo 4 won't repeat the same mistake, with an "incredible breadth of content" instead.
Diablo 4 is expected to be out on PC and next-gen consoles in 2023.
