Battlefield Might Introduce Single Player Campaign Again

EA’s Battlefield series could see a return for single-player campaigns after being absent from Battlefield 2042.

According to a new job listing for the Seattle-based studio, the position is for a design director that mentions the creation of “a new Battlefield campaign”.

The design director would be responsible for “creating a best-in-class single-player campaign experience’ with a “player-first mentality, motivated by a passionate aim to understand and serve the players who are engaged with the game”.

The job listing suggests EA is backtracking from its previous sentiments of not focusing on single-player and focusing on multiplayer live-service games.
