ASUS Announces RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti Cards

ASUS has announced its takes on NVIDIA’s new GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, which include the ROG Strix LC, ROG Strix, and TUF Gaming cards.

The ROG Strix LC RTX 3080 Ti (there’s no ROG Strix LC treatment for the RTX 3070 Ti) offers a custom full-coverage water block below the cooling shroud that transfers heat into a liquid-cooling loop. It makes use of 600 mm hoses and a 240 mm radiator, with the latter being able to be mounted on the top of the case or the front “with the fans configured as intakes”.

The card also sports two custom-designed 120 mm fans that ASUS says is optimized for high cubic feet per minute and high static pressure. Below the card’s shroud is a low-noise blower fan to handle the “low-profile” heatsink. The card can use FanConnect II headers to extend its fan-control intelligence to two case fans.

Visually, the ROG Strix LC RTX 3080 Ti sports an angular shroud with striations and addressable RGB LED accents and a “stealthier metallic accent” cooling shroud. The fan and lighting cables are enshrouded in anti-abrasive webbing on each coolant hose.

Meanwhile, the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and GeForce RTX 3070 Ti sport a 2.9-slot heatsink in an angular shroud that has a full-length addressable RGB LED array on its left edge. The full-length metallic backplate has a similar look.

The cards have three fans using ASUS’ axial-tech design that spin in a counter-rotating pattern and send air through the fin stack. The outer two fans have notched barrier rings while the center fan has a solid barrier ring. They drop into 0 dB mode when idle and are compatible with FanConnect II headers.

Aside from a “massive” heatsink and “carefully designed” PCB, the cards also have up to three eight-pin PCIe power connectors and high-resolution transient-sensing circuit monitors.

Finally, the TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3080 Ti and GeForce RTX 3070 Ti offer an “ultra-stealthy” look featuring a blacked-out, brushed-aluminum cooling shroud around their 2.7-slot heatsink. Other visual features include a full-length aluminium backplate with a cooling cutout and an Aura RGB LED accent with Aura Sync integration at the card’s front. The cards have three axial-tech fans that, like the Strix series, can idle for silence and “Extra-sturdy” capacitors.

The currently provided SRP prices cover the overclocked and non-overclocked RTX 3080 Tis from the three respective series. The overclocked ROG Strix LC RTX 3080 Ti costs RM9,200, while the non-overclocked version costs RM9,130. For the Strix series, the overclocked version costs RM8,640 while the regular version costs RM8,520. Finally, the overclocked TUF RTX3080 Ti costs RM7,690 while the non-overclocked version costs RM5,680. They all have a 3+1 year warranty.

All of the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti cards have PCIe 4.0, two Native HDMI 2.1, and three Native DisplayPort 1.4a ports.
