Studio WildCard decided to revise their plans for the upcoming Ark: Survival Evolved upgrade "Ark: Survival Ascended" UE5 edition will be released as a standalone title with all DLCs including the Community Maps (Fjordur, Ragnarok, The Center, Lost Island, Valguero, Crystal Isle.
Ark: Survival Ascended was previously to be released along the ARK 2 in the ARK Respawned Bundle for $49.99 (~MYR 220), which only includes "non-canon" DLC maps, expansion packs like Scorched Earth, Aberration will need to be re-purchased separately. Clearly, fans were unhappy about these changes.
Therefore, the newest blog post from Studio WildCard stated that Ark: Survival Ascended will include all DLC and upped the game price by $59.99 (+$10).
Besides, Studio Wildcard also explained why this upgraded version is no longer a free update and why they believe it is necessary to shut down Ark: Survival Evolved's official servers.
At last, the final content update for Ark: Survival Evolved 8th anniversary will launch this June alongside the community's favorite creature: Rhyniognatha. What do you think about the latest pricing changes on the upgraded version of ARK? Does it worth to re-purchase the game with primarily graphical changes?
