Alongside the new iPad, Apple has also revealed the new iPad mini, featuring the new A15 Bionic chipset and a larger 8.3" Liquid Retina display.
The new iPad mini has 500 nits of brightness and covers a P3 wide colour gamut, along with an anti-reflective screen coating. For the new model, Apple has moved the Touch ID to the power button on the top to enable an all-screen design.
Powered by the A15 Bionic chipset, the new iPad mini has 40% faster processing speed and 80% faster graphics performance compared to its predecessor. The rear camera features a 12 MP sensor with Focus Pixels to capture vivid shots and a True Tone flash to capture images in low light. The ultrawide front-facing camera has a 12 MP sensor with the Centre Stage technology too, like the new iPad.
The new iPad mini also offers 5G connectivity with peak speeds of up to 3.5 Gbps. For charging, Apple replaces the usual Lightning port with the USB-C port. It has two storage options at 64 GB and 256 GB and four colour variants: pink, starlight, purple, and space grey. The new iPad mini Wi-Fi model will start from RM2,299 while the Wi-Fi + cellular model will start from RM2,949.
