Apple Launches the 2020 MacBook Pro 13", Features Magic Keyboard and 10th Gen Intel Chips

Apple has just announced the 2020 refresh of the 13" MacBook Pro variant . The updated model brings Magic Keyboard to the table, along with Intel's 10th Gen quad-core chips and up to 1TB of SSD storage. On top of that, you'll get a Touch Bar with a physical escape key as well as Touch ID.

The lowest-spec option starts with 256GB of base SSD storage, which is a step up from last year's 128GB. However, do note that the lower spec options come with an 8th Gen Intel chip and start with 8GB of 2133MHz LPDDR3 RAM. You'll also have only 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports, as opposed to 4 on the higher-spec models.

If you're looking for something more powerful for work or school (or just to flex), you'll have to choose from the higher-end options which come with the aforementioned 10th Gen Intel chips, up to 4TB of SSD storage, as well as up to 32GB of 3,733MHz LPDDR4X RAM.

As for pricing, it will depend on your the configuration you choose; in Malaysia, the lower-end 8th Gen variants with 256GB and 512GB storage options are going for RM5,599 and RM6,399 respectively, while the 10th-Gen variants with 512GB and 1TB storage options are going for RM7,999 and RM8,799 respectively. As always, you'll be able to further customise the specs to suit your needs - at a price, of course.

The 2020 MacBook Pro 13" is already listed on Malaysia's Apple website, but is currently listed as unavailable, so keep your eyes peeled for its imminent arrival.
