All of MSI's AMD 400 Series Motherboards Will Support Ryzen 5000 Series CPUs

On 8 October, AMD officially announced the Zen 3 architecture Ryzen 5000

series processors, which feature significant performance improvements compared to the previous 7nm Ryzen 3000 series processors.

For these upcoming processors, MSI has released the latest AGESA COMBO

PI V2 1.1.0.0 for all X570 and B550 series motherboards to perfectly utilize the

PCIe 4.0 performance.

To meet upgrade demands, AMD has also revealed that a BIOS update for

selected 400 series motherboards will be released in January 2021 to support Ryzen 5000 series processors.

In line with that announcement, MSI has also promised BIOS updates for all 400 series motherboards, including the X470 and B450, MAX, or non-MAX products to enable support for Ryzen 5000 processors. It is currently still in the R&D phase, with a detailed BIOS release schedule to be announced after AMD provides the BIOS code.
