Acer Announces an Aspire Vero National Geographic Edition

Acer has announced an Aspire Vero National Geographic Edition (AV15-51R), which incorporates design elements evocative of the Earth. Each purchase of the special edition laptop supports the non-profit National Geographic Society.

The original Aspire Vero comes with a chassis, which consists of 30% of PCR plastic. On the textured grey surface, there are yellow pigment dots and several diagonal lines across almost half of the top cover. The lines divide the laptop's surface into land and sea, alluding to the impact of global warming on rising sea levels. The iconic national Geographics yellow border can be found printed directly onto the bottom right corner of the keyboard. There's also a message printed on the spacebar, which says "For Planet Earth".

The laptop packaging is designed to be a multipurpose box while the inner partition can be folded into triangular laptop stand. Acer claims that the packaging uses 85% recycled paper, along with a 100% industrial recycled plastic (PIR) laptop sleeve and a 100% PIR plastic sheet.

Powered by the 11th Gen Intel Core processor and Intel Iris Xe graphics, the laptop ships with Windows 11 out of the box. It also supports Wi-Fi 6. As for port selection, it has a USB Type-C port and 2 USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports.

The Acer Aspire Vero National Geographic Edition will be available in China in January starting at 5,499 Yuan and in France in March starting at EUR899. If it comes to Malaysia, the price will start at approximately RM3,621.
