Acer Malaysia has officially announced the new environmental-friendly Aspire Vero (AV15-51) laptop, which is made of 30% and 50% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic in its chassis and keycaps respectively. It also comes along with an award-winning 100% recyclable packaging that can be repurposed as a DIY laptop stand in a box made from 80 - 85% recycled paper pulp.
Powered by up to the 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and Intel Irix Xe graphics card, the Aspire Vero features a 99% recyclable15.6-inch FHD IPS display. For connectivity, it has an RJ-45 port, an HDMI port, a USB-C port, two USB-A ports, as well as Wi-Fi 6. Other features include Acer's new VeroSense software, Acer TrueHarmony, and Acer PurifiedVoice with AI noise reduction technology.
The device comes with Windows 11 and Microsoft Office Home & Student 2021 pre-installed. It will be available at selected Acer official online stores and Acer authorised resellers nationwide, starting from RM3,399.
As part of its sustainability efforts, Acer has also adopted 15 trees in Taman Tugu, a 66-acre green lung in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. Representatives from Kitamen, Microsoft, the National Cancer Society of Malaysia, PIKOM, and Team Lugiami have also supported Acer Malaysia's efforts in its "Make Your Green Mark" campaign.
Consumers who purchase the Aspire Vero from today until 19 November will receive gifts up to RM500, such as an Acer backpack, Acer Gateway Pro wireless headset, Touch ‘n Go eWallet credit, and more. For every Aspire Vero purchased, a RM100 will be used to fund tree adoption in Taman Tugu as Acer Malaysia aims to adopt another 15 more trees with consumers' support.
