For those who don't like hunting for individual parts to assemble their own gaming PC, pre-built machines are a great option. Predator's Orion 3000 desktop PC, dubbed the "Compact Juggernaut", is an 18L mid-sized tower with customisable specs.
The 2020 model has an exterior that is small yet sleek, and comes with a cool gamer-like aesthetic without being too ostentatious. The front is made of tempered glass with the Predator logo emblazoned in the middle.
Near the top, you'll find the triangular power button, while two strips of vents line the sides for some airflow. One of the two included FrostBlade fans are visible here, along with subtle RGB lighting strips running halfway up the front.
To make it easier to carry around, a sturdy carry handle is built-in on the top of the chassis.
As for the side panel, you can opt for a mesh version or an EMI-compliant tempered glass version. Although simple, the RGB lighting illuminates the inside of the tower beautifully. You can further customise this (and other settings) in the built-in PredatorSense app. Apart from RGB lighting, fan controls, temperature and system monitoring is also available within the app.
In terms of USB ports, you'll get a total of eight, six of which are on the back: four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports and two USB 2.0 ports.
If you don't fancy reaching around to the back of the PC to plug in your peripherals, you'll be glad to find that there is a concealed front I/O panel. With a simple flick of the cover, you'll gain access to one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A and one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, as well as headphone and mic jacks.
Above it, there's a retractable headset cradle, which is definitely a nice touch if you like to keep your desktop clean. To further cut down clutter, the Predator Orion 3000 doesn't just have onboard Killer 2600 1Gps Ethernet, but Wi-Fi 6 as well.
When it comes to specs, Malaysian users can kit it out with up to an Intel® Core™ i7-10700 processor, up to NVIDIA® GeForce® RTX™ 2060 graphics, up to 64GB of RAM, and up to 1TB HDD and 256GB SSD storage. The power supply is standard at 500W.
While the Orion 3000 already offers great specs for mainstream gaming, you can go for even more extreme performance with the more powerful Orion 5000 and Orion 9000 models. However, if you're looking for something compact and inconspicuous that will fit comfortably into any setting - be it small dorm rooms or even a public space like your living room - the Orion 3000 is definitely a good choice.
Prices start from RM4,099 and goes all the way up to RM6,799 depending on your configuration. For more information, you can check out the official product page here.
