Sony’s scaled-down Xperia Compact line may be making a return with a 5.5-inch Xperia Compact device.
According to leaker OnLeaks, the new device is “quite blocky looking” and measures “barely 140 x 68.9 x 8.9mm”, with thick bezels and a large chin. The back of the phone has a dual-camera setup with a 13MP main camera and flash, while the front has an 8MP selfie camera in a waterdrop notch.

Other details revealed by OnLeaks include a capacitive fingerprint sensor inside the power button on the left, where a volume rocker and camera button are also situated. Meanwhile, the phone’s top has a 3.5mm headphone jack. Details like the processor, price, and release window were not mentioned.
It was previously rumoured in November 2020 that Sony would bring back the Xperia Compact line in the first half of 2021. But until we get an announcement from Sony, the Xperia XZ2 from 2018 officially remains as the company’s latest and last Xperia Compact phone.
