ZTE Axon 30 Launches in China, Global Release "Coming Soon"

ZTE has launched its under-display camera-sporting ZTE Axon 30 in China, with a global version “coming soon” in September.


The ZTE Axon 30 offers a 4-in-1 under-display camera with a 2.24µm pixel size, while the screen area of the under-display camera has a 400 PPI pixel density. ZTE also says that the phone has an independent screen display chip and that the camera area uses “7 layers of highly transparent materials and 3 special processing technologies” for better light transmission.


For its rear cameras, the device has an AI quad-camera setup with a 64 MP main camera, a 120-degree wide-angle camera, a 3 cm macro lens, and a DoF lens. Some of the supported photography features include Super Night Mode, multi-camera simultaneous shooting, dual-way video stabilization for the main and wide angle cameras, and VLOG intelligent short video.

Elsewhere, the ZTE Axon 30 features Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 870G, a 4200 mAh battery with 55 W fast charging, and a 6.92-inch AMOLED screen. The display has a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 360 Hz touch sampling rate, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and 10-bit color depth support, along with a 20.5:9 ratio. For eye protection, it has TUV, SGS, and UL certifications.


Other features of the ZTE Axon 30 include a triple ice cooling system, DTS:X, and 5G. The device weighs 189 g and has a thickness of 7.8 mm. It comes in either Black or Aqua, and also sports a rear shell made with “3D composite polymer material with nano-level glow texture overlaid”.
