Youth And Sports Ministry Welcomes ESL One Malaysia

The Ministry of Youth and Sports officially welcomed the return of the ESL One tournament at a joint event in ESL Gaming.

In a statement, Youth and Sports minister Yang Berhormat Dato ’Seri Ahmad Faizal bin Dato ’Azumu said that the local esports community has managed to put Malaysia’s mark on the world stage.


“I hope to see the continuous and sustainable growth of the esports industry and will continue supporting our flag bearers.”


Last held in Malaysia in 2018, ESL One is the premier Dota 2 international tournament that pits the best teams around the world for a total prize pool of 400,000 USD (RM 1.78 million).


The tournament will be held at Resorts World Genting from 23 to 28 August.
