Yeap, you can now own some of the world's greatest pieces of art in your Animal Crossing home.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art, also known as 'The Met', is celebrating 150 years of presenting art in its hallowed galleries...by sharing their collection with Animal Crossing players.
If you're an art snob IRL and would like to be equally pretentious on your virtual island, The Met's Digital Department has made the Museum's entire collection of over 406,000 open access images available for import into the game via the Animal Crossing QR-code generator.
How to import artwork
Step 1: Choose the artwork you want to import

Step 2: Click the share button, then click on the Animal Crossing Leaf icon

Step 3: Crop the image to your liking

Step 4: Scan the QR code using the Nintendo Switch Online app

And there you have it! You can now hang these world-famous paintings in your Animal Crossing home or simply display them on boards around your island.
...and no, you can't sell them to pay off your loans from Tom Nook.
