Hit anime and manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba will be receiving their own Tamagotchis later this year, tentatively in October.
For Gen Z kids who have no idea what a Tamagotchi is, it's a virtual pet that you can bring around with you via a small electronic device. You can raise it by feeding it or training it up with mini-games and activities.
The Kimetsu No Yaiba Tamagotchis will come in 3 colourways that reflect the designs of the featured characters: Tanjiro, the protagonist, Nezuko, the bamboo-chomping cutie, and Kisatsutai, the Demon Slayer Corps.
Story-wise, each Tamagotchi will be loosely based on the manga, allowing you to raise each character to become one of nine Hashiras (elite warriors) by training them with 3 mini-games and feeding them riceballs and tea.
These Tamagotchis will retail for US$24 (~RM104) each, so you'd better start saving up if you want to have a virtual Nezuko living in your pocket!
