After Xiaomi released the last Mi Mix 3 almost three years ago, we've all wondered if there will be a successor, and the Mix 4 has finally made its debut. Xiaomi's Mix 4 is the brand's first device to sport an under-display camera.
Powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus processor, the Mix 4 sports a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and 1080p resolution protected by the Gorilla Glass Victus. Underneath the display, there's the 20 MP selfie camera with the Camera Under Display (as Xiaomi calls it) technology, which leaves the screen unblemished by notches or cutouts. Xiaomi used a new micro-diamond pixel pattern paired with rethought algorithms which ensure minimum light refraction. The area above the camera has 440 PPI density so it can read even the tiniest text.
On the back, the smartphone features a triple rear camera module comprising a 108 MP Samsung HMX sensor, a 13 MP free-form ultra-wide-angle camera, and an 8 MP 5x periscope telephoto. According to Xiaomi, the free-form ultra-wide-angle camera makes only 1% edge distortion compared to typical ultra-wide-angle cameras.
The Mix 4 houses a 4500 mAh battery that supports up to 120 W wired charging and 50 W wireless charging systems. Xiaomi claims that the wired charging can top up the battery in just 15 minutes while the wireless charging takes 28 minutes.
The Mix 4 comes in three colour variants: ceramic black, ceramic white, and ceramic grey - inspired by China's Song Dynasty porcelain. With 8 GB of RAM, Xiaomi offers the device equipped with 128 GB and 256 GB of storage. Meanwhile, with 12 GB of RAM, Xiaomi offers it with 256 GB and 512 GB of storage. The 8 GB of RAM variant will be priced starting at 4,999 Yuan (~RM3,266) while the 12 GB of RAM variant will be priced starting at 5,799 Yuan (~RM3789).
