Design
The vivo Watch 3 boasts a lightweight and sleek design, weighing only 36g and having dimensions of 46.1 x 46.1 x 13.8 mm. This design helps make it extremely comfortable to wear for everyday use, even while doing exercises or sleeping.
The watch comes in two different colours, with the only difference being the strap. The Asteroid Black version that we got comes with a silicone band lug-less design whereas the Moonlight White version comes with a genuine leather strap twin-lug design, which justifies for its higher price tag of RM999. It is important to note that the leather strap is not suitable for activities where you might get wet or sweaty so if you find yourselves using it for sports or fitness activities, the silicone strap version would be the way to go. If you still find yourself in favour of the white colour model, good news is that the watch is compatible with standard 22mm straps, allowing users to personalise according to their preferences.
Display
The vivo Watch 3 boasts an incredibly well-detailed screen as it comes with a 1.43-inch AMOLED display screen with a resolution of 466x466 pixels. The watch also comes with an Always-On display feature which enhances its convenience as users will be able to quickly access key information without needing to tap on the screen to wake the device. Some might find the feature annoying especially when you’re in some low light places like the cinema or some concerts but no worries as you can always disable it in the settings.
Furthermore, the vivo Watch 3 also comes with a variety of Multi-Style Trendy Designs for their watch screen, this way users will be able to select whatever design on their watch screen to match their preference. Whether you’re in a formal event where you want to look classic, or at some chilling hangouts where you want to be more casual, there is always a suitable watch face for you.
Sensors
The vivo Watch 3 comes equipped with a wide array of sensors and the multi-channel star ring layout is able to continuously monitor and measure your heart rate, blood oxygen, stress levels and even your sleep with high accuracy. This star ring will ensure that you will be able to get reliable and accurate data during workouts and everyday activities.
Applications
The vivo Watch 3 runs on its own self-developedBlueOS, which will ensure smooth navigation and efficient performance when using it. When it comes to its applications, the vivo Watch 3 comes with numerous softwares to help ensure you’ll be able to live a healthier lifestyle.
The vivo Watch 3 comes with over 100+ sports modes so that you’ll be able to monitor your progress in whatever sport activity that you’re doing with professional and accurate data, such as badminton and football. Furthermore, the watch comes with a daily activity ring which provides a visual to help users keep track of their fitness progress. With this feature, you’re sure to lead a healthier lifestyle.
Moreover, the watch is also 5ATM water resistant, and this will allow your watch to withstand water pressure up to a depth of 50 metres for 10 minutes , making it suitable for low-velocity and shallow-water activities. With that being said, the watch would definitely have no issue in withstanding the unpredictable rainy weather in Malaysia or some accidental spills and submersion. The watch should have no issue in handling light water activities like showering, surface swimming and shallow snorkeling but do bear in mind to not wear it while carrying out some intense water sport activities.
In terms of its connectivity, the vivo Watch 3 includes the Bluetooth 5.2, which ensures seamless pairing with compatible devices. At the moment the watch is compatible with all Android devices as long as you have access to PlayStore to download the vivo Health app while iOS uses would probably need to wait longer. Additionally, the watch also supports NFC, and this will allow users to be able to carry out contactless payments through the watch itself. However, the lack of WiFi connectivity might be a drawback for some users.
Battery Life
The vivo Watch 3 boasts a long-lasting battery life of up to two weeks with only a single charge, and this will ensure that users will be able to use the watch for prolonged periods, even while out on trips. Even if you are a heavy user, the watch can be fully charged in less than 2 hours, giving you minimal downtime. Additionally, to extend the battery life of the watch, you’ll be able to turn on its Battery Saver mode, which will only show the time while disabling all other features.
Verdict
In conclusion, the vivo Watch 3 boasts many impressive features which helps to justify its price tag of RM899 in my opinion. With its sleek and lightweight design, you’ll be able to wear the watch comfortably without worry about it bothering you. Its accurate data and long-lasting battery also make it an incredible watch to get. Thus, if you’re someone who’s active in sports or is looking to improve their lifestyle, then I’d highly suggest getting the vivo Watch 3 - the best workout companion!
