Valve Warns Steam Deck Throttles Performance In High Temperature

Valve warned that the Steam Deck will throttle performance if its internal temperature reaches too high.

In a tweet from the official Steam Deck account, they said that the Steam Deck’s optimal temperature is between 0 and 35 degrees celsius.

They also said that the AMD APU would shut itself down when it reaches 105 degrees in order to protect itself and its users.

With temperatures reaching a record high in the northern hemisphere, it is understandable that Valve would want to warn users about their Steam Deck’s overheating.
