Ubisoft Delays Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine

Cyberpunk 2077 isn’t the only triple-A game getting delayed, as Ubisoft has delayed Far Cry 6 and Rainbow Six Quarantine.

Far Cry 6’s delay was announced on Twitter, with a post saying, “While we know you all are anxious to get your hands on Far Cry 6, we want to let you know that we’ve been given more time to allow us to make this the game you aspire to play while focusing on the well-being of our teams in this unprecedented global context. Our teams around the world are working in the studios and from their homes to pour their passion and creativity into making an unforgettable game – one we hope you will love.”

As for Rainbow Six Quarantine, a new earnings report cited COVID-19 and work-from-home challenges as the reasons for Rainbow Six Quarantine’s delay, while the new release window for both Rainbow Six Quarantine and Far Cry 6 is sometime between 2021 and 2022.

In the report, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said, “While much remains to be done, our teams’ testimonies showed a deep attachment to Ubisoft and a strong desire to defend the values of respect and benevolence on which the Group was built. We are committed to making the necessary changes to create an exemplary workplace culture of which everyone at Ubisoft can be proud.”
