Anyone remember the Pocophone F1? It was a dark horse that took the mid-range smartphone scene by storm, with its near-flagship specs delivering above-tier performance.
For a mere RM1,199, users got to enjoy the best processor of its time - a Snapdragon 845 SoC - as well as a minimum of 6GM RAM + 64GB ROM, a massive 4,000mAh battery, and 12MP + 5MP dual main cameras.
Now, the Xiaomi sub-brand has declared independence from its parent company, and will henceforth be known simply as Poco.
This might mean that we can anticipate a new release soon - the Pocophone F1 was the only one of its kind and had no successor, despite its widespread success.
Let's hope that Poco will follow the footsteps of the F1's success, and continue releasing flagship phones at affordable prices.
