Top Hat Studios, an indie game developing company, has officially released a brand new trailer for their upcoming 'Zelda-like' adventure game The Girl From Arkanya.
You may also be able to watch the second Teaser Trailer that they released a while ago on their official YouTube Channel.
In the trailer, it revealed the game artwork and character designs, while also showcasing the the various maps and gameplay that players will be able to expect. True to its word, the game showcases its inspiration from Zelda games with its movement and mechanics.
In addition to the trailer, Top Hat Studios has confirmed that they have released a Free Demo version of the game to allow players the opportunity to try out the game in its most updated form.
The game was was initially funded back in 2020, where they requested a total of $10,000, in order to ensure a release for a multi-platform release on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Since then, the game developer has been releasing updates relating to the game's progress. Finally, with the game releasing the Demo, it's another step closer to playing the finalised game.
The Girl From Arkanya is a 2D Adventure RPG game where players take control of a treasure hunter named Marisa, who is accompanied by her capybara companion, Kapi. Throughout the game, players will go through an adventure of a lifetime, travelling through various areas and dungeons in order to collect dungeon, carrying out tasks and face new challenges. The game will also have players take control of both Marisa and Kapi in the dungeons to navigate through the terrain and through traps.
The tale is set in the year 1167, in the port city of Arkanya, which is slowly becoming on the wealthiest regions in the world. However, things start to become more unnerving when neighbouring tribes began to vanish without a single world. Furthermore, there appears to be a war between two tribes located at the North, furthering the concerns of the citizens of Arkanya. Meanwhile, while all the chaos takes place, in comes Marisa and Kapi who have a vital role to play in resolving the crisis. Or, will she take the opportunity amidst the chaos and conflict to make herself rich?
