The Grand Finals of PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL) MY/SG Season 2 concluded over the weekend, with Team Secret walking away with the coveted champion's title.
Apart from bragging rights, the team will be bringing home US$15,000 (~RM62,438) in prize money. Yoodo Gank and Team SMG placed 2nd and 3rd respectively, earning US$10,000 (~RM41,625) and US$7,500 (~RM31,219) in prize money each. The prize money is awarded only from the Grand Finals itself, and does not include the Weekly and Special Prizes awarded throughout the prior 4-week league.
On top of prize money, Team Secret has secured a slot to represent their country in the PMPL SEA Finals Season 2. Yoodo Gank has already secured the honour in the first season of PMPL MY/SG, while Team SMG and Geek Fam have also earned spots in the PMPL SEA finals by being the runner-up of each seasons. With its partnership together with Facebook Gaming, PMPL MY/SG Season 2 was broadcasted live in both English and Malay to cater to both local and international crowds, garnering a concurrent peak viewership as high as 111,440 viewers during the Regular Season, and 94,353 viewers during the Grand Finals.
