Sony’s Xperia 1 III is set to ship to the United States on August 19, with pre-sales having begun on July 1. The new smartphone has a suggested retail price of $1,299.99 (~RM5,411).
US orders that are placed by September 26 will get the WF-1000XM3 wireless noise cancelling earbuds and 43,200 Call of Duty: Mobile CP Points as well. The phone will come with Frosted Black and Frosted Purple colour options, with the latter being exclusive to the Sony website.
Announced in April, the Xperia 1 III is powered by the Snapdragon 888 5G and sports a 6.5-inch 4K HDR OLED display with a 21:9 ratio and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It offers a triple camera array with four optical focal lengths, with the telephoto lens allowing users to switch between 70 mm and 105 mm focal lengths. The phone also offers Dual PDAF sensors and a 3D iToF sensor.
Elsewhere, the Xperia 1 III has a 4,500 mAh battery, a 30 W charger, a 3.5 mm audio jack, Gorilla Glass 6 and IP65/68 protection, and audio features like 360 Reality Audio and 360 Spatial sound.
