A new variant of the PS5 Digital Edition will be coming soon, or so it seems.
According to PSU, the official Japanese Playstation website has released a new safety guide user manual for the Sony PS5 Digital Edition (CFI-1100B01). The new variant weighs 300 g lighter than the standard edition at 3.6 kg. However, all the other specifications including the dimensions remain the same so it is still not clear what has been changed for the lighter weight in the revised model.
In addition to the change in weight, there will be a new screw for the new variant’s vertical stand, which will allow users to screw by hand.
Sony is expected to retail the new PS5 Digital Edition in Japan this week followed by a global announcement soon. Stay tuned with us for the official announcement of the new model.
