SILENT HILL 2 Set to Release on October 8 on PS5 and PC!

Konami has officially announced on their official X account that SILENT HILL 2 will be releasing on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam on the 8th October 2024!

The upcoming SILENT HILL 2 game is said to be a full remake of the original SILENT HILL 2 game which first released back in 2001 for the PlayStation 2.

SILENT HILL 2 was often hailed as one of the best game in the franchise and a big hit for psychological horror fans. Thus the news of a remake using cutting edge technology is a something that has excited fans throughout the world since its announcement back in October 2022.

The game has also released both a trailer and gameplay during the SILENT HILL Transmission which was premiered on their official YouTube channel earlier today.

SILENT HILL 2 follows the tale of James who received a mysterious letter from his wife, Mary, who had passed away several years ago. As a result, he decided to head to Silent Hill, a town the two used to spend a lot of time in. However, James will find that the town that was once filled with beautiful memories has become a ghost town, wrapped in a deep fog and stalked by twisted monsters. Hoping that he would be able to find Mary once again, James goes to explore Silent Hill, a decision which leads him to discover an unescapable truth.

Although the game is set for later on in the year, you are able to pre-order the game now, letting you be able to play the game the moment it releases.

When speaking about the pre-order, the game has provided two package deals for consumers to purchase. The first is the standard edition which will include a Mira the Dog Mask along with the game.

On the other hand, the deluxe edition will include a digital artbook, the digital soundtrack, a Pyramid Head Mask (pizza box) and a Mira the Dog Mask. Additionally, for those who pre-order the game via PS5, players will be able to get a Robbie the Rabbit Mask as well, while getting the game a whole 48 hours earlier!

The game costs at RM304 for just the standard bundle while the Digital Deluxe bundle costs RM348 on Steam.
