Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy S20 Fan Edition, its new RM3,399 5G smartphone.

The Galaxy S20 FE is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and comes with a 6.5-inch Infinity-0 Super AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It has a 32 MP selfie camera with tetra-binning technolgy, which combines four pixels into one. Based off Samsung’s explanation of the tech back in February 2020, tetra-binning will allow the S20 Fan Edition’s selfie camera create an 8 MP picture with bigger pixels.

Meanwhile, the rear features a triple-camera set-up consisting of a 12 MP Ulta Wide camera, a 12 MP Wide-angle camera, and an 8 MP Telephoto Camera. The rear set-up features 3x Optical Zoom and up to 30x Super Resolution Zoom. Samsung also says that the phone has night mode multi-frame processing with AI frame integration.

Inside the Galaxy S20 FE is a 4.500 mAh battery and 256 GB of internal storage; there is a 128 GB storage option listed in Samsung's press release, but it’s greyed out and cited as being not available on Samsung’s Malaysian site. According to the press release, the 256 GB variant comes with 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM.

Colour-wise, there are Cloud Navy, Cloud Lavender, Cloud Mint, Cloud White, and Cloud Orange options. The phone can be pre-ordered now.
