Samsung Electronics has introduced its largest consumer SSD yet, the 9100 PRO 8TB PCIe® 5.0 NVMe™ SSD which offers blazing-fast read and write speeds of up to 14,800 MB/s and 13,400 MB/s. Designed for AI workloads, creative professionals, and gamers, the new 8TB model delivers exceptional performance and ample storage for even the most demanding applications.
Breakthrough PCIe® 5.0 Performance
Powered by Samsung’s 8th-generation V-NAND and the advanced Presto controller, the 9100 PRO 8TB achieves up to 2,200K IOPS random read and 2,600K IOPS random write speeds, doubling sequential performance compared to the previous generation 990 PRO. This makes the drive an ideal solution for AI PCs, content creation workflows, and extreme gaming environments where speed and responsiveness are critical.
Expanded Capacity for Next-Gen Needs
Despite its increased capacity and performance, the 9100 PRO 8TB is up to 49% more power-efficient than its predecessor, thanks to Samsung’s 5nm controller and firmware optimisations. The 8TB heatsink version, with a slim 11.25mm profile, provides effective thermal management to prevent overheating and is even compatible with PlayStation® 5 consoles, giving users more flexibility in installation.
Samsung Magician Software Support
Like other models in the series, the 9100 PRO 8TB is supported by Samsung Magician software, which offers seamless data migration, drive health monitoring, secure data protection, and firmware updates for optimal performance.
