Samsung Announces The Galaxy A42 5G, Its Cheapest 5G Smartphone So Far

Samsung has announced the Galaxy A42 5G, the latest 5G-capable smartphone in its A series lineup. Priced at £349 (~RM1,891), it is also the company’s cheapest phone with 5G support at the moment.

The A42 5G features a 6.6-inch HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U Display and comes with an SM7225 processor and 5,000mAh battery inside. It features a quad-camera setup with a 48MP main camera, 8MP ultra wide camera, 5MP macro camera, and 5MP depth camera. The front has a 20MP selfie camera.

The phone has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It can also fit a MicroSD card of up to 1TB. It’s available in Prism Dot Black, Prism Dot White, and Prism Dot Grey colours.

The A42 5G will only be available in the United Kingdom for now, and will be released there on 6 November.
