ROG Phone 7 Series takes mobile gaming to the next level: Upgraded GameCool 7, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) announced the all-new ROG Phone 7 Series during the "For Those Who Dare" virtual launch event today. The ROG Phone 7 Series comes with 2 models, the ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate.

This time, the ROG Phone 7 Series was built to unleash extraordinary gaming power with the flagship 3.2 GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform, pairing with up to 16GB of 8,533 Mbps LPDDR5X RAM and a 512GB UFS 4.0 ROM for the ultimate gaming experience.

It is also Wi-Fi 7 ready with the Fast Connect 7800 which supports ultra-fast 320MHz channels and Multi-Link operation, making the ROG Phone 7 Series lag-free.

Besides, the ROG Phone 7 Series uses a 165Hz Samsung AMOLED display with a 720 Hz touch-sampling rate and a Delta E<1 color accuracy, and a maximum brightness of 1500 nits for a superb visual experience. The ROG Phone 7 Series display is tuned by the leading visual-processing company Pixelworks so there is no worry about color accuracy.

Additionally, the ROG Phone 7 Series equips an enhanced GameCool 7 thermal system to cool the CPU from all directions using a three-pronged approach. The AI-powered active cooling system will automatically switch according to short sessions, mid-length sessions, and marathon sessions for extra cooling performance.

As usual, the ROG AeroActive Cooler can be attached to the ROG Phone 7 Series to further dispel the heat generated by the SoC. Thanks to the AeroActive Portal, the phone's thermal efficiency can increase by up to 20%.

The ROG Phone 7 Series also features new software to enhance the gaming experience even further. The X Sense helps the gamer to detect onscreen events with a pop-up notification when gamers encounter important new items that appear on the map or when the enemy is approaching. There is also an AI tool X Capture that automatically records memorable moments in battle.

The ASUS ROG Phone 7 Series will be announced in Malaysia officially on 10th May 2023. So stay tuned for more details about the ROG Phone 7 Series on ROG Facebook and Twitter.
