ROG has officially launched the ROG Phone 5s series in Malaysia featuring the latest flagship Snapdragon 888+ chipset, up to 18 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, premium Snapdragon Elite gaming features, and the AeroActive Cooler 5.
The ROG Phone 5s series is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ 5G mobile platform with a clock speed of up to 3 GHz and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity. It is also coupled with up to 18 GB of LPDDR5 RAM to increase the overall gaming performance.
It comes with a Samsung E4 AMOLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and 360 Hz native touch sampling rate. Protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, the screen display has always-on HDR technology, which can improve non-HDR visuals.
The ROG Phone 5s Pro has a unique colour version of ROG Vision that can display a variety of animations that show when users are charging the phone, when there's an incoming call, when X mode is enabled, and more. Users can customise the animations in the Armoury Crate app based on their likings.
For maximum sustained performance, the cooling system in the ROG Phone 5s series has an optimum thermal structure featuring a centered chipset with the battery split into two parts, one located on each side of the CPU. This will allow heat to be transferred to all parts of the chassis simultaneously for higher thermal efficiency. The reshaped 3D vapor chamber and extensive chamber sheets can also spread heat evenly across the device to reduce heat in the middle. The AeroActive Cooler 5 that can be attached at the middle of the phone, will blow air directly onto it to reduce up to 10°C of heat.
The AirTrigger 5 control system on the ROG Phone 5s series will give gamers more ways to control their phone when gaming. There are also two extra physical buttons on the AeroActive Cooler 5 for gamers to have a console-like experience. Additionally, the ROG Phone 5s Pro has two hidden rear touch sensors on the back, which provide L2/R2 trigger functions.
The GameFX audio system on the ROG Phone 5s Pro has symmetrical seven-magnet dua; speakers for balanced stereo sound effects and a 3.5 mm headphone jack along with a hi-fi grade ESS DAC.
