At the For Those Who Dare: Boundless virtual event, ROG launched a series of new gaming products, including the ROG Strix and ROG Flow gaming laptops, bags and apparel from ROG Slash, a standalone first-person parkour game for the ROG Citadel XV, and the Team ROG initiative.
ROG Strix Scar 17 Special Edition
The new ROG Strix Scar 17 Special Edition features the latest hardware and cutting-edge solution with a custom vapor chamber along with ROG's exclusive Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal applied to both the CPU and GPU. It has a maximum CPU TDP of 65 W and a maximum GPU TGP of 175 W with Dynamic Boost.
With a 3ms response time, it offers two display options: a 360Hz FHD display or a 240Hz QHD display. It is equipped with up to 64GB of DDR5 4800MHZ RAM and PCIe 4.0 storage in a RAID 0 array. In terms of design, the laptop sports a distinct cyberpunk aesthetic with first-of-its-kind invisible ink applied directly to its metal chassis, which appears blue and green under UV light.
ROG Flow X16
The ROG Flow X16 is a 16" convertible laptop powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics, with support for the XG Mobile external GPUs. The Flow X16 features the flagship ROG Nebula HDR display with a 165Hz QHD Mini LED panel. It has 1100 nits of peak brightness and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Other features include an all-new Frost Force Technology and Pulsar heatsink to keep temperatures low while optimizing performance.
ROG Slash
Inspired by cyberpunk and the code that builds the modern virtual world, the ROG Slash lineup includes a crossbody bag, backpack, hip bag, protective laptop bag, as well as a new cobra buckle cap and bucket hat. The series is also versatile and durable, using adjustable straps, multiple compartments, and water-resistant TPU materials.
Team ROG
Team ROG is expanding its roster this year, pairing its premium products with influencers, professional gamers, content creators, and athletes. ROG will also continue its partnership with esports team Misfits Gaming as part of its Team ROG initiative. Additionally, ROG has announced a new partnership with ReKT Gaming, an organization that operates esports teams and content creation across a range of today’s most popular games. SCAR Runner
SCAR Runner is the expansion of the ROG Citadel XV game, following the story of X, who's in a race against time to recover critical information. It's related to the physical chassis of the ROG Strix Scar 17 Special Edition, on which you'll find hidden clues. In conjunction with the launch, ROG is giving away prizes worth US$20,000 (~RM87,960), including the Strix Scar 17 SE and ROG Slash apparel. The campaign runs from now until 30 June.
