Today, ROG announced a new flagship motherboard for the new AMD AM5 platform - the ROG Crosshair X670E Extreme.
The new motherboard features the next-gen PCIe 5.0 and DDR5 RAM technology. For connectivity, there are USB4, USB 3.2 Gen 2, Quick Charge 4+, and USB Type-C ports onboard. It comes with two PCIe 5.0 x16 slots, five M.2 slots with four supporting PCIe 5.0 x4 mode, and six SATA 6 Gbps ports.
RGB lovers will be able to customize the RGB LED accents on the AniMe Matrix display. In terms of performance, the Crosshair X760E Extreme supports the next-gen AMD Ryzen CPUs, ProCool II power connectors, and improved heat dissipation.
It also offers a Q-release button for DIY users to remove the GPU from the slot with just one press and a Q-DIMM latch for users to easily lock-in memory sticks. M.2 drives can also easily be installed with the help of the M.2 Q-Latch. The GPU also supports Wi-Fi 6E, Intel 2.5Gb Ethernet port, and SupremeFX 7.1 surround sound.
